Free Advice...

Is there ever such a thing as "free advice"? While I am originally inclined to answer this question with a resounding NO, if given more thought and time I would actually have to answer yes. While everyone has their own opinion, and offers their own point of view when it comes to "free advice" I do believe there is a small group of select people that do actually give this type of service. They are called the People Who Care group. The people who truly care for us will always offer "free advice" since they have the best intentions in mind, want to see us succeed, wish us to be safe and are always on the lookout for our overall happiness. So the next time you hear someone say "let me give you some advice" always consider the factors mentioned above before you take into consideration this so called "free advice".

  1. This is for the "People Who Care" group. Do not give any "free advice" when not asked. I have always deeply cared for people close to me and even people who I barely knew. I had a tendency to offer "Free Advice" when I felt that the person needed advice. This is a big no-no. Sometimes it's better to be a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear. Sometimes that's all people need. We may feel that our views will greatly help that person or even change their life.... but that person needs to find their own way and learn on their own.

  2. Very well said, I could have not said it better. In a world of "free advice" giving people, what most people need are a "listening ear" instead. Most people can always use some guidance, but ultimately they will only learn through their own trials and tribulations
